Hyundai santa fe. Washers not working properly.

Water comming through at very low pressure. Water not sustained only in short bursts. Cleaned washer heads with pin. Disconnected inlet pipe to washer heads with same results.

Thanks Guys for your help. However I suspect that I would have to dismantle the washer tank to gain access to the filter and pump.

I have just discovered that my waarenty dosn't run out for another 7000 miles so have booked it into the local Hyundai dealers.

Thanks again for your swift responses.

There is a screen filter on the washer pump suction line where it draws cleaner from the fluid reservoir, it must be plugging up, this is very common.

There is a high pressure relief valve on the compressor to avoid over filling the system and locking up the compressor, or blowing a A/C hose, ect.,
You need a set of gauges to do it right (connected to high and low ports) then read this.

Winshield Washer Fluid extremely low pressure

The washer pump is located in the right front fender, mounted infront of the wheel. Remove the front portion of the wheel well splash cover to gain excess. This pump does the work for the front and rear washers. Verify that the pump is working and then check for a pinched hose.
However, if you hear the pump working,as you say, open the hood and take the hoses off the squirter nozzles to see if there is good flow of fluid. If there is, then your nozzles are plugged. You may be able to clean them out with some air pressure. Careful working with the nozzles, as they are plastic and break easy.

Windscreen washers not operating correctly. Water comes thru the jets but at low pressure

Get yourself a small gauge/thin piece of wire. Poke the jet holes with the wire until they spray like they used to. If you have an air compressor you can also blow through the sprayer with compressed air after poking them with the wire and they should be good as new. If that doesn't work you might have a blockage in the line at the one-way valve or at the pump in the washer tank.
