Remove the battery terminal to clear the radio, then reinstall the cable, with the key on and the radio off hold down buttons #1 and #6 while turning the radio on, this will give u the serial # of the radio and u can give it to any dealership and they can give u the 5 digit radio code, If they wont just give it to me and I can help you.

SOURCE: what is the code?

Most hondas have the code on the vehicle itself for resetting the code once the battery has been disconected or radio removed. Try pulling the glove box out and looking on the inside of the cavity. You should not need a code to remove the radio the alarm should not go off, it is the installation. The radio will not work with any other --vehicle without your specific code, good thieves know this and would rather steal the whole car. "Especially the Honda Accord. Have one in the garage and a 2005 Pilot.

SOURCE: stereo error code

The code for the radio needs to be input. the radio must have been disconnected from the battery.
look for the code on a card in the glove box. if no card, then u have to pull the stereo out and get the serial # to the dealership.

SOURCE: Need to input my radio code on 2005 Honda Civic

ok your radio displays ERR , OK 3 options let it sit for an hour turned on , to reture to CODE display , or pull the radio fuse out for a minute and put it back in , returning to the CODE display , or disconnect the battery for a minute , returning to the CODE display . you got the ERR display because the code was wrong or not entered correctly , make your choice of getting the radio back to the CODE display by 1 of those 3 choices , while the radio displays CODE , use the preset buttons , if the first number of your code is 4 , then press the #1 preset button 4 time , when the first number has been input , put the 2nd number in by pressing the #2 prest button , if 2nd number of code is 8 , press the # 2 preset button 8 times till the # 8 is displayed , and so on . you see where this is giong ? when you have entered all the numbers correctly you will have you radio back . when you say you have the radio code , good luck ! were rooting for ya .

SOURCE: code radio honda civic 2004

you will need the radios serial number which is located on top of the unit itself. Then take that number and any Honda dealer will be able to give you the new code. Sometimes it is on a sticker with your owners manual. i am still a tech and we run into this all of the time on Hondas.

----- Error code radio Honda Civic 2007 -----
power on radio, when you see Error code 1 or 2 or 3 ..., power off the radio, press the keys 6 and 1 at the same time, and power on, you'll see the radio serial number, write down this S/N and call your dealer, give him this S/N, he will give you the code (5 numbers), that's it that's all

Unhooked the battery on 2004 Honda civic vx , now radio dosent work. Need the radio code to reset.

Hi, check the service log book, the previous owner may have written the code there. The only other way to get the code is to take your car to the local Honda dealer. Hope this helps.

I left the car light on overnight and the battery ran down. The battery is fixed but the radio won't turn on. It says error or code. Is there a way for me to fix this?

Hello, your need to code the radio some times if you have the makers Handbook you might find it in there written down if not you will have to contact your nearest Honda Dealer and give them all the information you have about the car, some times just giving them the chassis number will do it.
Hope this information helps you out.
George.
