97 f150 4.6 automatic. truck has been sitting for 3 days and went to go somewhere in truck and would not go into gear. when i tryed to go back into park it just started to make a grinding noise. so i turned engine off and put into park and the vehical will roll (no park). but when engine is on and i try to go into any gear it sounds like it goes into gear but you can't move anywhere. please help
Make sure it is not in 4x4 if the 4x4 gear shift got pushed into gear that will do it

i forgot to put in there i just got done changing the heater core.
My truck won't go forward or reverse in any gear. When I go to putit back in park it grinds like the linkage is hitting the fly weel, the grinding will slowley stop if you put in park, but boes the same thing time and time again
my 95 odyessy made grunching sound when put in drive the other day what ever gear i tried it contiued to made noise turned engine off put in park restarted and drove home normal is this a torque converter prob?
