The third brake light on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee does not work, but the other two do. If I hit the light a few times, it will flicker. I have checked the bulb and it is fine. What could this be? Also, a note, I just fixed my left brake light because it was not working with the headlights on, but was working with them off, the third light (on top of the hatch) is not working at all.
Check the light socket it could be lose on the wires or just the light
If you have no brake lights, and you've checked the fuses and the bulbs then, the problem is likely a the brake light switch on the brake pedal arm. The switch needs to be adjusted or replaced.
