Try replacing your fuel pump relay, Its common on chevys. Those fuel pumps are too expensive to keep replacing
SOURCE: I have a 95 caprice classice 5.7L V8 and it is running hot.
You have a thermostat stuck shut. This causes pressure build up causing the over flow. As the heat increases the pressure increases. Also the water pump cant circulate the water also helping to add the pressure.

SOURCE: my speedometer went out on my 95 chevy caprice
It may be the speed sensor in the transmission,I do not think it has a speedometer cable, but check the sensor first, then if you need a speedometer,,the dealer,or the junkyard.
SOURCE: My lumina stalls after 20-30 minutes of operation
Sounds like an electronic that controls ignition or fuel is getting heat soaked and failing intermittently. The ignition module would be where i look first. You could try locating it, starting the engine and using a blow dryer, heating it up. If it stalls once it gets hot from the blow dryer you've found the culprit.
