I have a Hyundai getz 1.5 , the car wont start sometimes, its just dead. The immobiliser light stays on showing me its stuck. I release the handbrake and roll back a little in reverse gear, drop the clutch so it skids. Then I try start the car again and it starts - why? A solenoid problem?

Have a 2033 auto transit van, high roof. At the lights the transmission lights come on. The van has then dropped out of gear and I have to put it back in gear by pressing the button. When its on a hill particularly the tranmission light flashes if I stop and want to restart. Sometimes when I first start off if the van is on a hill, it wont go into first gear after pressing the buttons a few times, I have press reverse and then first to get it to go into first. Also sometimes I have to let it go backwards while on the hill for a second then the 1st gear registers. Seems like a clutch problem, but does it have a clutch? Its an auto manual. I have the transmission replace a year ago with a recondtioned hydrolic pump. transit clutch
