SOURCE: Cooling Fan Fuse

Sounds like a short in the wiring, or a bad fan motor drawing too much current. Check the wiring for shorts, if none are found, replace the fan motor.

Remove a battery terminal for 5 min. This will allow the computer to reset. Resecure the cable and try to start.

SOURCE: I have 2005 chevy cavalier that stalls .

Check to see if you emission system sensors are plugged in, such as the air intake sensor which is plugged into the air hose at the front of the engine. Another possibility is your gas cap. Replace it, its very cheap. If it only occurs at higher speeds it may be clogged injectors. Dump a bottle or two of injector cleaner into the gasoline tank after a fill-up. You might also try some octane booster which is methanol and will mix with and help remove any water in your fuel tank.

SOURCE: I have a fuse blowing constantly on my van

you are on a search and destroy mission, i recommend you buy a manual with wiring diagram, at least it will tell you what is hooked on that circuit, thenits a matter of testing wiring, i suspect you have a short somewhere

Testimonial: "Well, thanks for the opinion, even though I read it after fixing my problem. It was indeed a short, as the cover for the wiring harness was missing, and apparently a wire had rubbed bare and was shorting against the valve cover. I couldn't actually see the bad spot, but by carefully moving it I isolated the spot and taped it up really good and put a new cover in place. Thanks for the quick reply though!"

bogus post#2, fuse PCM-B are not blowing but why are you talking about it at all.?? sure other posts else where? guessing?

stop listening to other guessing what is wrong,
all we know is 12vdc power surge, of some kind,
if you looked at the drawings the things that can fail here are huge(vast). I invite you to read the service manual.

2003 LR discovery. Went to turn ignition on. Suddenly went completely dead. No power to anything. Wouldn't think battery is issue with such a sudden shut down. What should I check first?

Check battery terminals for corrosion. If none is found at battery posts also check the other end of the cables where they connect to the stater motor and ground (ground is usually at the engine and or car's frame).

Why did my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe sudden lost power while driving?

what happened when you tried jumping the car? sounds like it could be a bad ignition switch since only non-switched things work.

Complete Electrical failure. fuses and battery good?

Sounds more like you have a bad alternator that is unable to keep the battery charged. Once the battery dies while driving, the spark plugs will no longer be able to ignite and the fuel won't burn, causing your engine to shut off. Some cars have a fuseable link between the battery and alternator that will burn out, or partially burn out causing the same symptoms and is a lot cheaper to replace. Check that first.

My clock and radio are suddenly not working in my 2003 grand am

Your Vehicle has two fuse boxes one fuse box under the hood and one inside the vehicle. Check your owner’s manual and you should find the fuse panel at the side of driver’s dash console. Look at the fuse schematics for the fuse description radio then remove that fuse for a visual inspection. If it is good it could be an internal radio problem. However, If the battery jumper cables were hooked up incorrectly it may have damaged a battery cell or the regulator of the alternator and I would have her take it to NAPA, O’Reilly, or Auto Zone to have a free battery and charging system test.

My beetle just engine just went off while driving

Make sure the battery terminals are secure. Other than that I would guess there is an electrcal fault on the vehicle. I am not familiar with the beetle but think if I were driving your vehicle I would make sure all electrical connections were as they should be.

Engine cut off and cant start

If the fuse blew at once, then you have an electrical short. Try disconnecting power lead to start, cover with insulating tape/electrical tape, put new fuse in place, and attempt to "start". if fuse does not blow then the starter motor has an internal fault, replace starter and enjoy. Keep me posted as you perform these tests.

The wiring that fuse protects is shorted to ground ! You don't know how to find a short ? Your best bet ,take it to a shop that can .
