We just replaced the alternator on my truck and since then I have noticed the anti theft light flashing in the dash while I am driving. Also the red light stays on while driving. The lights on the side of the windshield that shows the alarm is active does not come on. And when I lock the car with the key fob it doesnt chirp. I am guessing i have to reset it somehow but I have no idea how. Also tonight while I was sitting in a parking lot I had my headlights off and it was like it had running lights that kicked on? I had the headlights off but they were on and I could not shut them off. I turned the truck off and they still wouldnt turn off. I opened the hood and there is a little button on the right side that you can press down i did that a couple times..slammed the hood and the headlights went off but the alarm still is not working when its shut off. Any ideas what is going on?

Doing roadside assistance I have ran into this problem several times and if you look in your owners manual it will tell you how to reset it. Some of the cars you have to wait up to 10 min. with the key in the ignition and try again. The light will go out. READ carefully our owners manual.
Hope this helped....Kevin
