Question about 1992 Ford Escort 4 Door
Car has 50K miles. 1.8L. when tank is 1/2 full or less, turn to right and it dies. just started this crazy problem. Turn left or straight ahead okay. Full tank-right turn is fine. cpu readout showes NO trouble codes. Vacs checked, loose wires checked, variable inertia and all other proper proceedures checked. grounds okay. fuel pressure okay.
Car has been to 8 auto service centers all with NO results. Car runs and shifts fine. Lights /accessories fine. solution is reserved for the most gifted of troubleshooters.
If you jack up the right side of the car while its running does it die?...........just thinking that maybe the pickup has fallen off of the fuel pump in the gas tank so when the fuel moves to the left side of the tank the end of the pump may not be immersed in fuel.
hope this helps...keep me posted its definitely an interesting problem.....Good luck!
