1997 camry passenger side door damage battery drain

My daughter's car got hit on the passenger side, damaging both doors in the middle of the car. I suspect the damage to the front door is causing the drain, though her dome light burned out a while ago. Is there a switch to check that can stop this drain? We haven't gotten the doors fixed yet, too much red tape...

If the left side is hit with a car you might have damage to the cables that run in the floor channels that are below the door when the door is closed the plastic that the door is on when the door is closed. Suggest removing the plastic and checking the cables are not touching other exposed wires or the car body. If they are get insulation tape and wrap on exposed wires.

SOURCE: INSTALL SIDE VIEW MIRROR ON A 1997 TOYOTA CAMRY

Yes, you have to remove the door panel.

Remove the 2 plastic protectors on the front edge, and remove the 2 brass colored screws. Next, remove the push pins from the latch side. Push in, and pull out the whole thing. Next, under the armrest, remove the screw. Lift up the power windoe control, being careful to not break the plastic retainer tab. Remove the screw under the window control. Starting at the bottom, pull out the panel, and, when all of the clips are loose, pull the panel straight up. It is best to do this with the door panel as warm as possible, like in a heated garage. Doing this outside in the cold will break all of the plastic retainer clips; they are quite brittle whn cold.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: Toyota Camry 1991 door light stays on

You need to readjust the switch on your trunk door, or replace. To check it locate it, tape it down with duct tape and see if the light goes off. If not it's bad. If it does it means it isn't sticking out far enough to be turned off when the trunk is closed. The adjusment should be fairly obvious. If not you can simply unplug it which has the same result as turning it off.

SOURCE: 2002 Toyota RAV4 passenger side floor Water

Hi, we also have a 2002 Toyota Rav4 and developed a leak in the front driver's side of the car. After much research, we discovered that the drain wells from our sun/moon roof were clogged. If you have one of these, I suggest that you open the sun roof and look carefully. You will notice some tiny little holes in front and in the rear of the sun/moon roof tracks. Over time, these become clogged with dust and debris. You need to find a long, sturdy piece of thin wire and run it down the holes. To test if you have properly unclogged these, take a small amount of water and pour it down the holes. You should see water coming out of the drain wells under the car around the rear of the front tires. Hope this helps.

1995 Toyota camery PASSENGER EXTERIOR SIDE VIEW DOOR MIRROR

You will probably need to take it to a Toyota dealership or reputable mechanic. Without a photo it is difficult to see if you have any other structural damage to the mirror well. Many mirrors today are designed to be forgiving with low impact blows and they collapse. it sounds like yours was pulled out of the mounting and possible have bent that mounting.
