Can a blown fuse cause the gas gauge to stop working?

It has something called a 'hot fuel module', but no idea what that is.

According to this it is a know issue and the gauge has a reset procedure.

How do you reset the fuel gauge on a Chevy Suburban?

Press and hold the "Trip/Odo" button. Turn the ignition switch on and hold the "Trip/Odo" switch for about two seconds. Then, release the "Trip/Odo" button, press it again (do this three or four times), and finally hold it for about four to five seconds until the leveling information shows on the Odometer.Jun. 19, 2021

I have a 1986 chevy truck, the gauge/idle fuse blowes when you turn the key. The gas gauge and other gauges dont work but runs good. Any suggestions

It could be a short in the instrument cluster-maybe one of the non-working gauges. You could pull the cluster out and try to find it, or just try another cluster from a salvage yard.

My 2004 suburban gauges are not working on the dashboard

Check the fuses first for a blown fuse. May have a bad headlight switch or shorted ignition switch.

The gauges stopped working on my chevy suburban

there is a fuse for the gauges, if you have an owners manual it will tell you exactly where it is, if not there is a fuse panel inside, either under the dash on drivers side, by the driver side kick panel, or on the side of the dash that faces the door.. and there is also a fuse/relay panel under the hood.
hope this helps.

2008 1500 suburban, pickedcar up after getting tires replaced, on way home oil pressure dropped and low oil pressure warning came on. Stopped checked oil level it was ok. started car was back at 35 to 40...

If your sending unit is one wire, unhook it from the sender and place a jumper wire from wire to ground. Turn ign on, gauge should pep high PSI. Two wire plug, place jumper between contacts of wires (unplugged). Same thing. What this does is isolate the gauge. If gauge pegs on test, replace sender. If it does it again with new sender, it's the pump. But it's probably the sender.

2006 suburban oil pressure gauge fluxuating

Most likely it's the oil sending sensor, located beside the oil filter. You can change it, just be sure to have old newspaper or rags laying around the area where you will work, because a little oil will be lost. The part isn't expensive, for mine on a Ford Expedition was around $35 and took 5 minutes to change. Just un-plug the connector going to the sensor, and a larger wrench will be needed, large (7/8, 15/16) somewhere in that range of size.
