Interior lights come on while driving

It appears to be a known issue. You may need an auto electrician or the dealership.

Found that fuse for interior lamps. It's located in the smart junction box.

Try spraying wd40 into each door latch. Do it one at a time then open and close the door about a dozen times spray some more in there after about 6 open and closes. Do this with each door and even the hatch. This should clear ya right up.

It thinks the door is open, so the switch may be bad. The switch is in the door on the latch

{: ) If you open the driver door and the dome lights are off, there are two butons nearest to the right of the main headlamp switch. Push the one situated on top. That's the interior lamp on/off switch.

Replace the drivers door switch, it's shorting out. It's on the B-pillar below your door latch, covered in rubber that you can pull off to get access to it. You can take it out, just tie a string to the electrical connector and tape it to the door so you don't loose it. The switches are fairly cheap at the dealership.

You have probably blown a fuse. The interior light switch is probably faulty causing the light to stay on and the warning to come up.

do the interior lights come on with the dimmer switch when you turn it all the way up

I have heard there is a door sensor relay that can cause this problem when it goes bad, however i have not been able to locate this relay.

What i did do to better the situation is pull fuse 31 (15amp) out of the fuse pannel under the driver side dash and this will disable all of the interior lights and nothing else. I know this does not fix anything but at least i dont get dead batterys anymore.
