Yes, remove the rear seat cusion and then lift up the padding. Take the screws out of the cover and them you can access the top of the fuel tank and remove the pump and fuel level sending unit.
Very easy!

Most fuel pumps are located in the gas tank , unless it is an older model car or truck . some fuel pumps are some what of a pain because you have to drop the gas tank in order to get to it ,but some cars you can remove the bottom of the back seat , and you will find a plate on the body . remove the screws , and it will right there. not sure on your car which way you will have to go to get to it.

2000 toyota celica-gets fuel to the fuel rail but wont stay running, will run with gas sprayed in intake
Check the injectore and see if they need replaced. but if not, you probably just need to put some "restor" in in for the compression.

Instructions on how to replace fuel pump on 2001 toyota celica gt
well i can explain how to do it........really easy procedure........
1.disconnect the battery
2.drop gas tank
3.disconnect all hoses and wiring harness
4.pull gas tank out from under vehicle
5.take sending unit out,remove fuel pump
6.reinstall is reverse of taking out

it might be your fuel injectors. The fuel injectors have been recalled. My 2000 gts was hesitating and i had the injectors cleaned and that fixed the problem. A month later i took it in for service and was advised that there was a recall on the fuel injectors.

I need to know how to change fuel pump on 2001 celica
Replacement of the fuel pump is very easy. Here is what you need to do:
Pull uup on the front edge of the rear seat bottom.
Lift & remove the rear seat bottom.
Locate & unbolt the inspection cover on the rear floor.
Disconnect the wire harness at the connector.
Remove the tubes going to the sending unit/fuel pump
Unbolt the 8 or 9 bolts that hoolds the unit onto the top of the tank;
Pull the entire assembly up & out.
