While idling, car frequently overheats and when starting from a parked position - does not accelerate - symptoms similar to "vapor locking"... wants to stall out??
My 2003 after a hard run or long isle of started too soon it throws the light and goes into emergency shift mode
Letting it cool overnight fixes it.
Not sure if this is due to where I park with a high center and the converter is heating up the transmission or if my fan isn’t coming on when it should
Every time I look it is on after a long drive but seems to be heat related.
Winters are brutal here I worry this is a fan control module issue as I lost tbr module that controls lights and windshield wipers I fear the fan control is there too and it is not coming on at 225 consistently
Does the cooling fan come on at 225F? Have the fan tested by the dealer with a scanner.

Is the same trans the only thing different on a police package is a better suspension and the ECM is program different so it could have more RPM and the trans will shift difrent. but is all in the ECM.

Assuming you have played with the child locks on the doors you may fnid that your particular car is missing the linkage from the interior door handle to the door lock. Apart from making up a rig yourself I would suggest going to a breakers yard or possibly your local Ford dealer
SOURCE: I need fuse panel diagrams for ford crown victoria

Usually answered in minutes!
This is a 4.6 Liter V-8. After idling 20 minutes or more the temp gage goes up and when starting from a standing position - the vehicle does not want to accelerate for a few minutes or a short distance. Radiator has been flushed.
