While driving the engine stopped running and while coasting I attempted to restart in neutral. It did not restart and before it stopped I had a low fuel warning signal but there is fuel in the van. I recently replace the ecm about 3 months ago and my local mechanic has checked all the starting components for fire. They all passed. Next we went to the junk yard and found an ecm with the same engine type and transmission but once it was installed the van still failed to start. Presently we would like a general direction to try next without exhausting too much money and time

If wiggling the wires cured the code, then one of the wires is broken inside the insulation. Pull on each wire one at a time. look for the colored insulation to stretch, this will be the broken wire. For the other car that wont rev up, this is a common when the catalytic concverter is plugged up. This will also cause MAF codes, and in turn, TRAC OFF light.

ok; first your car probably has a "rollover switch" this is usally located in the trunk on the right side it can cause this problem but, in your case I think the ground cable that grounds your engine is the culprit check on the engine block for a bolt with a large braided cable that fastens to the frame or sheetmetal of your car remove the bolt(s) and scrape away the paint, grease etc. and, rebolt (the radio is grounded seperately) the gages, lights on dash and, the engine ignition MUST be grounded to the frame to work.

You said you have fuel flowing from the inlet line of the injection pump? But not at the injector lines?

Under the intake manifold there is a ignition coil power switch that you might try . See http://www.myisuzuparts.com/showparts.php fig no. 0-60 image number 4 item 352
