Wire harness under driver side front seat got hit and a wire got cut. Repaired it but my clock and radio wont turn on at all

Only one wire was actually cut in half and it was a speaker wire. There was a small spark when the drill bit hit the harness (was drilling new holes for new seats) pulled back the covering and noticed some wires had exposed metal. I electrical taped them to cover the bare spots and reconnected the speaker wire. Still cant get radio or clock to come on.

Check your fuses. When you hit the wires you created a short and most likely blew a fuse.

I have a 2000 cl500 and the power went out on the drivers side all of a sudden, the driver and left passenger window, driver seat and mirror, heated seat etc. What component could of went out to cause this...

This is something I have experienced and may or may not be your problem. The wiring harness under the seat is cut and exposed from moving the seat back and forth. It is now hitting ground and blew the fuse. You have to find the bare wire and wrap it with electrical tape, then replace the blown fuse. Most of the time, I had to remove the seat to find it. If you change the fuse without wrapping the wire, the first time you move the seat, the fuse will blow.

Radio sound not working

I had the same problem with my 2005 Impala radio. The soloution was: Locate the wiring harness under the carpet in the passengers side behind the front seat. You need to untape it (there's a lot of tape) take off the plastic covering and look for the Orange wire. Follow the orange wire towards the rear of the car until you see where it splits into 2 Orange wires. Common problem is corrosion at the split. Cut the wires and resplice them together. My problem was solved right there!!

Got an electrical issue with my 99 suburban. Back up lights don't work, both sides. I have other electrical issues don't know if they are related. Seat heaters work off and on, front passenger door...

My gfs envoy does this stuff too. Weirdly i found a wiring harness under the driver seat that has a mind of its own. When these problems happen look under the driver seat and move the wiring harness around. It fixed my problem, it may be a connection that is not making good contact in that harness.

My heated seats, easy exit seat, cruise control, and odometer lights were all effected by this one harness

2003 Buick Regal: how do I hook up the front seat heating system? I think they're just disconnected. I can see all the wires under the driver's side seat. Neither the driver's side seat heater or seat...

The last time I checked one of these, the wiring harness for everything you just described is underneath the seat. You'll have to move the seat all the way forward or back to get to the harnesses to reconnect them.

I hope this helps! :) Let me know if you need any further assistance in this matter.

1999 Dodge 2500 passenger side seat belt wont release

so after completely tearing the seat apart I found 2 wires going up to the seat belt mechanism from under the seat, these wires got caught in the seat mechanism underneath and were shredded. There must be a small solenoid inside the seat belt mechanism because I could hear it click after I repaired the wires(this circuit is live even with the ignition off) Im not sure how it all works but this solved my problem.

2002 jeep liberty - limited - electrical problem

If yor liberty is a 2002 to 2004 it is very likley that the wiring harness is pinched under either the drivers or passengers seat. you need to remove the seats (its only 4 bolts) and lift up the carpet and look at the harness that runs under the seats. I have seen this many times before.By the way i am a Jeep master technicain and have been for 15 years.
