YES, THE VIN NUMBER IS NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVERS' SIDE. IT CAN BE SEEN FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. ANOTHER LOCATION IS ON THE DRIVERS' DOOR BY THE DOOR CATCH OR STRIKE PLATE. OK NOW FOR THE ENGINE NUMBER, LOOK UNDER THE HOOD FOR A WHITE STICKER. ON THIS STICKER TOWARDS THE BOTTOM IS THE ENGINE INFORMATION. GOOD LUCK

If it's an 80's Dodge with an auto trans, then it is either a 727 (3 spd) or 518 (3 spd w/OD)...you'll know it's OD because there should be a button on the dash for it.

1) On a plate behind the LH lower corner of the windscreen.
2) On the chassis RH longitudinal behind the rear wheel.
