Car loses power and switches off on hot weather

My car works fine on cold and normal weather. The real problem arises when the weather gets real hot; when it's hot and I have to apply brakes e.g. at the traffic lights, after releasing the brakes the car would then not accelerate beyond 20mil/h and If I try to continue it would switch itself off.

Thanks.

Ok it kind of stalls. It manifests itself whenever it's very hot and I have to apply the brakes to stop the car for a brief period. After stopping for that period (e.g. at traffic light or a hump), whenever I try to accelerate again it'll only make it up to 15 mil/hr and not more irrespective of how much i press the accelerator. If I try to continue with that speed it'll usually switch off and come to a halt. I usually get around this by switching off the engine and let the car cool for a few minutes. Strangely enough all this happens at the normal engine temperature. That is, the car does not show any overheating.

Hope this adds some clarification. Thank you.

My car switches off when i press the clutch & brake. This happens only when my AC is running.

i have the same problem with 2002 jag.i took it to jag who did a diagnostic test on it and gave me some fuel treatment which did not work.mine does it when its hot though it does not overheat.it sounds as though there is a blockage in the system that lets air out or that lets fuel in or the movement of water.i am sure its one of this but i have had the exhaust checked and its said to be fine.there is no warning light so i am really stuck.i cant even think of driving a long distance and every expert is saying my car is fine.i guess the problem is that none of them has actually seen it in the power lose state as i cant risk to push it to a halt before i get to were i am going

I don't really understand what u are saying or asking, please explain further about what the brake has to do with this roblem, does the car stall or just loose power?

Weird this one??dealer for diagnosis i think as could be anything from low fuel pump pressure to air flow meter or temperature sensor in air intake.

My car does the same thing, sort of. it starts bucking and loses power. i have to let it cool down before i can move it. on days under 50 degrees it runs like a champ. i can usually get 20 miles before it happens on days up to 70 degrees. i replaced the 02 sensor and had the cat checked which turned out to be fine. i was told it may be fuel injectors.

My 2008 HHR's radio and remote. Everything seems to work fine when the weather is hot, but when the weather gets cold, only the left front tweeter works and the remote does not work. Any suggestions?

there's a broken circuit board, when its hot the board expands to make contact, when its cold it shrinks losing contact. understand that you may not be able to see them, but they are there.

Could be the neutral safely switch is still not adjusted properly. With your foot on the brake and the transmission in neutral, move the shifter a little bit in either direction while holding the key in the start position. If the starter engages, the switch needs to be adjusted.

Car loses power for short time after normal running and cooling down for ten minutes

sounds to be symptomatic of a CTS (coolant temperature sensor). there are two, one is for the interior temp gauge, the other is for the ECU/PCM while both are basicalty the same part, often even the same P/N, they both do extremely different things.

Excessive exhaust when cold

Its cold! is it like polluting excessive? If the exhaust smoke is white its normal especially on a older car. Have you ever gone outside in real cold weather and when you breathe you can see the steam pretty much same thing. As long as the car is running the same then its more likely to be from the cold. Good idea may be to let your car thoroughly warm up before you drive off in cold weather.
