This just started within the last couple of days. The brakes were replaced a few months ago - no problems or noise. It sounds like it's coming from the trunk area

could be that you have a broken belt in one of your tires..this will bake a thumping as you drive, the faster you drive the more noticeable it is....check your tires...may need to replace one.

The rotors were turned when the brakes were replaced. The thumping sound is more noticeable when I go over a bump or rough patch in the road - strut issues maybe?
