The speedometer and odometer on my 1995 saab 9000 900s 2.3l auto do not work The odometer is digital, it comes on but is not readable. The speedometer doesn't work either.

the speedometer cable broke! thats what your odometer runs off too and they route into the transmission so maybe try looking there for the problem.

Remove the instrument panel form the dash. Pull the back off and resolder resistor R13 on the back circuit board. This is a fairly delicate job and requires a fine pointed soldering iron. This fixed the Tach, Odometer readout, and fuel guage but not the speedometer in my 85 900 s.
Any ideas on the speedometer?

In 1995 they made different systems. If it has OBD, then it should be the conventional 16 pin connector, found underneath the drivers steering wheel area. If its the older type, then it has a 2 pin black connector under the center console area. Hope that helps
