I have a 2003 Chevy silverado 3500 dually. When I press the brake the right turn dignal on the dash comes on. When I have the cruise control is on and I turn on the right turn signal, it turns off the cruise control. I have replaced the turn signal indicator which I was told was the problem but it persists.

You have a bad bulb. Likely a front bulb. Check all bulbs. One has to be bad.

SOURCE: Right Turn Signal acts like the Emergency Flasher.

If you have an aftermarket trailer plug on your truck, you are going to want to inspect the wiring to the plug, and the connections in the plug. I think it's shorting out.

SOURCE: 1996 Chev Silverado K3500 dually, no brake lights

The chevys with red brake lights and turn signals do two things and I've fixeds alot of them. Looking at the tail lights with the hazard flashers on. both sides flash with nothingeles on? Or are the hazards yellow? if they're red and the third eye does work the turn signal switch is possible problem but it doesn't let the blubs and the circuit boards in the taillights out as they can fail and do some really bad stories the wires for the brakes and the turns and the hazards are the same ones and if the turns look right and the hazards look right then the turn signal switch transmites the turn too as this doesn't work part of your story can't be true

The only thing I can think of is you have a short between the brake wire going to the brakes and the ignition wire that is designated for run. Melted wires touching each other. This would be the only explianation. Because these two wires are only close to each other in the harness. And ofcourse these two wires run under the dash and in the engine compartment. Time to start splitting the harness. I would probbly start under the dash, get the hard part out of the way. Good luck.

This sounds like the hydroboost unit is leaking.behind the master cylinderThe braking system on this using the power steering pump to provide power assisted brakes instead of a brake booster. The hydroboost unit most likely needs replaced.
