OVERHEATING CHANGED TERMOSTAT AND WATERPUMP STILL OVERHEATING COULD CLUCTH FAN BE BAD IT'S STILL TURNING?

look some cars have two thermostats. or it could be your waterpump not circulating water. check the belt that drives pump. test your termostat! take it out. connect a thin long wire to the top and plop it in your kettle while boiling. or into a small pot of water on the stove. when it gets hot enough you will see it open. no a little bit but alot. you can also checks its opening temperature to the previous one make sure they exactly the same. good luck

check the radiator fan , maybe dont work

Visco fan or termostat problem. Fan not working 100% or stuck termostat

Take the overflow tube out of recovery tank and immerse in container of water. Run engine and watch for bubbles. (head gasket) Is your fan coming on? (fan or relay)

You could have several issues here. A blockage in the radiator, bad coolant temp sensor, (not turning the cooling fan on) a bad cooling fan motor. sounds as if maybe one of these may be your primary issue, and the cause of the overheating that originally caused your head gasket problem. Sounds like a cooling fan are not turning on. Assuming you have an electric cooling fan. It could be something simple like a fuse or a relay which is stopping the fans from working, or it could be something as bad as the motor burning out on the fan.

Possible early signs of a water pump problem. A failing waterpump will circulate coolent when the RPMS are high but when you slow down, so does the waterpump, thereby causing overheating.

If you are not getting heat now, it's because you have an air lock in the system. sometimes it can be difficult to burp the system. try turning the heater on high in the defrost position. run your vehicle with the rad cap off and keep the engine running at about 1500 rpm. That should give the waterpump enough momentom to purge the air through the engine. check around the heater hose area and around the thermostat area for any bleeder screws ( sometimes these vehicles will have 2 or 3 for ease of purging the air). hope this helps and if you need any other info please don't hesitate to write.

if the engine temperature begins to drop while the car is moving, you've got a bad fan clutch. Is the radiator clogged with deposits?

The relay. There is a black box on the right hand side of the engine at the top corner. It encloses all the relays. Make sure you are looking at the diagram well. Exchange the relays and remove the wiper relays and exchange them with the radiator fan relays. Start the engine, run it for 5 mins and see if they kick-start.
