Location of turn signal flasher for 1997 Buick skylark

The turn signals on a 1997 Buick Skylark don't flash..just stay on steady. The hazard lights flash normally, so not a bulb problem, I don't think. Cant find any reference to where the flasher unit is in the car.

I have a 1994 Buick Skylark and the hazzard and turn signal lighst don't flash. Will replacing the flasher solve the problem or is there also a separate flasher for the turn signals? also is the location of the Flasher the same as the 1997 Skylark?

emissionwiz, does that mean its behind the steering column or to the left of it? My dad and I took apart the dash as best we could and we could not spot the flasher at all.

The flasher is behind the dash where the steering column goes. It's hard to get at and harder to remove. They just can't make these things easy, can they?

In gm usually the flasher units ae in the fuse box or close to it and some of them or hung by small slip on brackets right under the steering column, the esy way t find the flasher since both of these are mounted close to each other, turn on the hazard flasher with the ignition on and follow the ticking noise nd once you locate the ticking flasher yo will also see the turn signal flasher right next to it usually it is yellow or light blue in color or if it has been replace before it will be in silver color

On the 1997 Buick Skylark, We have brake lights now but still no turning or hazard lights.

I'd have to check turn fuse, then turn/hazard flasher, then multifunction switch.

Have a 1997 Buick Skylark Has tail lights but no Brake, turn or hazard lights don't hear the flashers.

Hi,
If you check the brake switch first, pull connecter off and see if you have 12 volts on one side of the plug. if you have power use a small cotter pin and jump the connector the brake light should come on with the 3rd brake light also. If that doesn't work more than likely its your turn signal switch that is the culprit.

The turn signal flasher dont work, but the hazard lights work. i want to know where is turn signal flasher, where is this are found.

That would depend on your model make and year of vech. Also depending on vech., most vech's. use the same flasher for t signals and flashers. To hazard a guess, you may have a bad t. switch or wiring problem.

The brake lights work but the turn signals don't!! Have checked the fuses and bulbs, but not finding the problem

Fuses and bulbs OK, but wires? Additionally I suggest keep in mind that turn signals work with FLASHER devices (two independent) on 1993 Buick Skylark..

Application: Turn signal
Flasher is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted on support bracket

Application: Hazard flasher
Flasher is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, above kick panel, mounted in top of convenience panel

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).

Turn signals dont work on 1993 skylark. all bulbs are good. hazard lights blink fine. turnsignal dash light stays green and doesnt blink

There are 2 separate flasher relays. 1 for the turn signals and one for the hazards. I believe you have a bad flasher relay for the turn signals. The location of that is in the front seating area on the drivers side, under the dash on the drivers side of the steering column, mounted on support bracket. I provided a picture of what it should kind of look like although the picture I gave you is an aftermarket one so the color and such may be a little different but will look the same. Don't get it mixed up with the hazard relay which is located in the front seating area on the drivers side under the dash above the kick pane lmounted on top of the convenience. I am almost 100 percent sure the flasher and hazard relay are the same so if you want to just swap them out in order to have turn signals that should work. You won't have hazards however. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Where is fuse for blinkers on 1989 buick skylark

REPLACEMENT The hazard flasher is located forward of the console on all N-Body vehicles. The turn signal flasher is located behind the instrument panel, on the left side of the steering column bracket. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one. Confirm proper flasher operation.

The flasher is located behind the dash (trim removed for clarity)
