Jaguar 3.0 se auto 2002 sometimes i have a problem with selecting drive it takes quite a while especially from cold also when it changes gear its not as smooth quite jerky no lights have come on the dash board i had an automatic car before this use to happen when the auto transmission oil was low i have checked the hand book there is no reference to gearbox oil i'm not very good mechanically. Anything i should check before handing it over to a garage
If it is hard to shift when the vehicle is cold chances are that the oil in the gear box is too thick take it to a shop and try using a thinner oil than what is in the gear box and this will eradicae your problem
