If you have to lift up on the door and or close it hard--likely a bad hinge --each door has two and you can look into replacing the whole hinge or there are kits with the pin and bushings that can be used to repair a hinge.

Driver door would be most common if car that age and you may just need one of the two hinges replaced/repaired.

1996 Ford Thunderbird - What is this sagging cable?

It is your e-brake cable. e-brakes are mechanical, not hydraulic, therefore it has nothing to do with your master cylinder. adjust the cable at the e-brake itself or re-hang the cable to its rightful resting place.

1996 buick century door locks won't work and radio goes to am station when you turn off the car

This same thing happened to me in my 1996 buick century just a few days ago. I have the same problem with the door locks and the radio resetting to AM too. I also have the problem of the seats not moving. I think it might be the curcuit breaker or a fusible link. I am not a mechanic, but I do have the repair manual and the mechanics book with the wiring diagrams. If you want me to send the wiring diagram I could do that. I hope that helps. Let me know what you find cause I got the same problem.

How to replace door stricker bushing on 1996 explorer ?

the bushing itself is not replaceable. you have to replace the whole bolt. the new one comes with the bushing on it. a ratchet and torx bit is required to do this takes like 5 min to do. just unscrew the old one and insert the new one. you may have to kinda move it around before you tighten it to allign it. also make sure your door insnt sagging and causing the door to bind on the striker bolt. hinge pins in your door being bad can cause this

Back wheels lening inward

get an alignment check. Most likely the rear is sagging and will need new springs. Replace the front ones also.

If you have air suspension then its going to take more hands on diagnosing to figure it out.

1996 Eclipse RS. Drivers side door wont open from outside. Its almost like the heaviness from the door is effecting the door jam.

Reading between the lines I think you are saying the handle works fine to disengage the latch but the door itself does not want to open like it is binding in the opening. If so check the door hinge pins. They can wear and then the door can sag in the opening and be hard to open. You should likewise have a small problem with closing the door if it is the hinge pins.
