While driving the computer console says the driver door is still ajar when its closed. it wont stay locked while driving and the other doors will. And also the computer keeps dinging and alerting that the door is open while driving. when you turn the car off and use the keyless remote to lock the car, it locks but the factory alarm wont turn on.

check all of the door sensors. (buttons that are pushed in when doors close) they sometimes come loose and need adjusting.. easy fix once you find the bad one.
unhook your battery for 5 mins then hook it back up go to each door and open and close one at a time that way you know which door is having the problem once you find that out replace the door switch and problem fixed or just dont open that door.
Locks should be tesed /checked via hand terminal(which dealer have). sometimes that VIC module creates problems due to badsoldering points on its circuit board. try to resolder them. but sometimes it shows what is reads from sensors around car. like tail light out or door is ajar signals.
there is a possibility that switch checks the condition of door which is actully bad and this makes auto lock system act like door is not closed and wont allow it to be left as locked position. this is looking like a endless loop.
Your door ajar switches are located inside the rear faces of each door along with the latches. Just liberally spray a petroleum based lubricant into the door latch areas of each door (one at a time) and open / close the door several times. Once lubricated, your door ajar light, interior lights, and autolocks should function properly.
there should be a switch mounted( or more than one) in the door jamb that tells the car when the car door is open...i will probably look like a little plastic plunger...might be broken off or bad internally
Hello and welcome to FIXYA, it sounds like you have two problems, first the door ajar switches in your truck are sticking, and causing the ajar light to remain on, and second the door lock actuator is shorted and getting stuck in the lock position. To repair the switches, obtain a can of brake cleaner and spray the door latch of each door for about 3 to 5 seconds, then open and close the door 10 times to work the cleaner into the switches. To fix the lock problem, you must first pull up on the knob in the door panel to unlock it. Then remove the door panel, and replace the door lock actuator.
I had this problem on my 2003 explorer and took WD40 and gave the lock mechanism a good dose where it meets the clasp on the door jam. Then open and close the doors a couple of times to get them working. They get gummed up and sometimes have a tendency to stick.
