I need to change the fuse for my cig lighter. I can see the box but am not sure how to get to the fuses. Do I need to remove a panel on the dash or is there a removable cover on the box?

check your fuse box, probably a blown fuse. some cars have 2 fuse boxes, one under the dash below the steering wheel, and one under the hood. sometimes its on the left side of the dash only accessable when the door is open.
These items clock, radio, dash lights are usually fused on the same circuit. Please check the fuses for this problem. The fuse or fuses should be listed on the fuse box cover inside the interior fuse box. Replace the blown fuse if that is that problem. If it blows again, then the cig lighter circuit may be involved. Make sure the cig lighter is free of any objects, remove lighter, (push in part). Try new fuse while lighter is out, and if problem goes away, push in may be bad.
the fuse box is under the dash panel on drivers side. Fuse is blown. You may have faulty relay as well. Change fuse first. THere could be a short in the control switches causing fuse to snap.
Hello;
The fuse box is under the drivers side dah, on the firewall. Not sure about the cigarette adaptor but the fuses are marked as to what they go to. Hope this helps and please rate me;

I dont happen to have one of those diagrams, but if you pull the fuses one by one and replace the burnt ones you should be able to 1.) Identify what item is on what circuit (for the most part) and 2.) solve your original problem with your cigarette lighter. Hope this gives you some direction. Thanks for Using FixYa!
Thanks. I hate to start prying things apart if they aren't supposed to be removable.
