the best oil is the cheapest and change it every 6000miles with a oil filter every third oil change ,the cheapest turbo diesel /petrol oil you can buy is plenty good enough and supermarket could be cheapest place to buy it from

the best rebuild is to rebuild your mtr if possible because you no how
much abuse it has been thru.if thats the case most rebuild shops that have been around for a while locally would be my choice.however statisics show that a rebuild mtr will last a little over half as long as a factory mtr. maybe consider a used mtr with low miles .used mtrs come complete with all the parts and you can remove and replace engine in a shorter time. most used engines they test compression and oil ptessure before they remove and you might even have choice of more miles less money

When you buy a carb. rebuild kit it will come with the diagram chart and spec to rebuild it.

Same problem here. I bought a used rear axle out of the junk yard for $245 and it cost me $250 to have a mechanic install it. Much better than trying to open the old one and replacing the inside locker. Much cheaper also.

Go to any parts store and buy a Mitchell Manual specificaly for your car

The transmission shop have the tools to get in there and rebuild them. I would take to AAmco, Mr. Transmission , Cottman Transmissions. The reason for those places is they give a nation wide warranty on there work.
but a local transmission shop would be fine.
This is a very expensive transmission to rebuild. You are looking at parts and labor around $ 2500.00 . So the other option is to get a trasnmission order and replace it with out trying to rebuild it. That could be the best and cheapest way to go. The transmission shop has the resources to order a transmission for replacement.
