SOURCE: 92 lincoln towncar air bag light flashing

Air suspension is controlled by the compressor in your engine compartment.  The compressor runs when the suspension is not level.  Either because you have loaded the car with exceptional weight and the system is now adjusting the ride, or you have a leak in the system, or you have a bad sensor.
If you have a leak, the most likely culprit are the air suspension bags, the air suspension solenoids or possibly the lines to them.
Try these sites: http://www.strutmasters.com/catalog.php?cat=2

I don't work for either of them.  I own a 96 TC and have replaced my air suspension with coil springs form Strutmasters.  Work GREAT and I have no more air suspension problems.  Rides just as good too.  You can't tell the difference.

SOURCE: Air bag light is on... The str wheel controls r never correct

You have a bad clock spring. This is located behind the steering wheel and all electrical functions from steering wheel must go thru it. Pretty common problem on this model. The steering wheel and the steering column trim would have to be removed to replace it.

SOURCE: air bag light comes on and stays on. Never any accidents.

The error code that the "air bag" light flashed was 36--thats read by watching the air bag light and counting the flash code. Thats 3 flashs, then a pause, then 6 flashs there is another pause then 3 flashs, than a pause, then 6 flashs. This code comes with the ignition key in the on position, with engine off (KOEO) 36 is the code for drivers side seat. I had a broken wire on the yellow connector under the bottom of the seat, (towards the rear of the seat). I Repaired the broken wire (easier said than done)and the light went out. code 37 is for the passenger side. If you have back seat passengers, tell them to stop kicking around under the seat. I believe in my case it was caused from the constant back and forth from the automatic seat positioning feature. Good Luck!

SOURCE: I have a 2001 Lincoln Towncar. The air bag light comes on

1st when the airbag light is on the system is disabled, so if u have an accident they will not work, as to the common cause read below.
When the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the wheel

SOURCE: AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON DASH LINCOLN LS 2001

When the airbag light (SRS) is on or blinks it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called the clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the steering wheel while maintaining a mechanical connection to the airgag mounted on the steering wheel, to replace this part you must disarm the airbag system and remove the steering wheel, this requires a special steering wheel puller tool and that you disarm the airbag system before you start the work, to do this disconnect the battery negative cable for 1 hour prior.

Air bag light on passanger side

More than likely, since the wiring for the passenger side air bag is located right where you were working, you may have disconnected a wire. Start by wriggling the plug in to the air bag.

2003 Lincoln ls v-8 cruise control won't engage. Light won't come on or anything when I hit the button. Everything else work fine.

My 2001 Lincoln ls cruise control will not work. Put in a new clockspring and that did not fix it. radio controls and horn work but the air bag light stays on continually after starting. The lights on the cruise side will go on an off -I have bought that part to replace but don't want to put on if that is not the problem.

I have a 2000 Lincoln LS. I replaced the motor over a year ago. I had to take my car back to the garage after having the motor replaces because I had no heat or air. Come to find out, they never hooked it...

Sounds like a faulty mode door actuator for the a/c in the dash. There are a series of mode doors that controls air temperature and air flow. They are located in the passenger side of the dash. If the temperature mode door isn't closing all the way then when you could still be getting heated air from the heater core when on A/C. The blowing only out of the defrost is a textbook sign of a bad mode door actuator.

Air conditioner blowing hot air

Blowing hot air when set to A/C is almost always a stuck blend door, dead blend door actuator, or a cracked or disconnected blend door actuator vacuum line. The blend door is inside the a/c ducting under the dash, but the actuator will be accessible outside the ducting.

My a/c on my 2000 Lincoln LS has started blowing cold and hot air out of the same vents at the same time and then eventually it blows only hot air. Any ideas what could be the cause and suggestions on how...

I can tell you, that there is no way you can fix that in your driveway.

You need a professional scan tool and diagnostic charts to follow

The LS is very High Tech and all electronic. The HAVC, is a complete System onto it's self.

Heater blows cold air. does not get hot and defroster does not work

UNDER THE HOOD TOWARDS THE FIREWALL YOU WILL SEE A HOT WATER CONTROL VALVE.. IN LINE WITH HEATER HOSES... CONFIRM IT CHANGES WHILE SOMEONE ELSE IN THE CAR CHANGES FROM HOT TO COLD.. IF DOES NOT CHANGE THEN THERE IS YOUR PROBLEM...IF DOES CHANGE THEN THE NEXT COMMON PROBLEM IS WHAT THEY CALL THE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR...THESE ARE LITTLE DOORS IN THE DASH THE DIVERTS AIR IN THE DIRECTION YOU CHOOSE...THIS IS A MAJOR JOB TO REPLACE.. NOT FOR THE DIY

Power seat problems driver side will not move

Seat motor, connector, wiring, fuse and position switch are the only item in the picture here,

I will start with checking the motor connector (NOT AIR BAG) first.

Fuse second and work you way to the switch,

If you are handy you can apply 12V power to the seat and see does it move.

A dirty seat track rail can also cause the fuse to blow,

2000 lincoln ls heater not working...thermostat?

- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.
