Torque converter mulfunction

PO740 = Torque Converter Circuit Malfunction

Check all of the torque converter's electric connections--especially on that solenoid (but not just that part). It could be the transmission speed sensor. Just check from the transmission to the fuse box to make sure that the electric circuits have solid connectivity. Don't let oil short it out.

It should be attached to transmission block, I will see if I find a diagram.

Code 740 is a problem with the torque converter clutch circuit.
The converter solenoid and circuit would need to be checked out.

You must do the diagnostics for each code.

The main ground wire brakes where it connects to the transmission. look under the battery carridge

CODE PO740 YOU HAVE FAULTY TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID.MAKE SURE WIRE CONNECTOR TO TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID ITS NOT DISCONNECTED OR HAS BROKEN WIRES AND DAMAGE.
