For our 2003 Sienna, I removed the two obvious fasteners. I then had to use a screwdriver and gently pry the front part of the assembly away from the quarter panel. This is because there are two hidden pins that insert into plastic grommets near the quarter panel. See this photo which is a top view looking down on the detached assembly. It is a relatively easy thing to accomplish.

SOURCE: replacement of rear outside tail light assembly

If you're asking how do you change a taillight bulb, then follow this procedure:

Open the trunk lid.

Disconnect the connectors from the taillights (taillight bulb connectors are visible by looking inside the trunk at the back of the tail lamps.) There may be an interior trunk trim panel that you have to take off but in most cases its just a series of thumb screws that hold them in.

Brake Lights/Taillights: 21/5 W

Rear Turn Signal Light: 21 W

Back-up Light: 21 W

Rear Side Marker Light: 5 W

Turn the bulb sockets 45 º counterclockwise to remove the bulbs.

If you're removing the taillamps with the bumper off there are 3 nuts and screws that hold the taillight to the rear panel of the car that have to come off from the inside of the trunk.
Remove the nuts and screws, then remove the taillight.

hope that answers your question

SOURCE: 2003 Toyota Sienna - Need to replace left rear brake light

Hi -
I just replaced my left rear brake light on my 2005 Sienna. I followed the manual directions and removed the two metal bolts from the tail light cover. However the assembly did not come off. I could open it a little and it appeared to be bolted from the inside. I looked online but didn't find an answer. I had already gotten pulled over and I didn't want to go to the dealer so I pulled on the assembly a little harder applying even pressure to the top and the bottom and it popped loose. I didn't yank it. There are two metal pegs that have a little lip on them and thats where you are getting the resistance. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: How do I change a rear wiper blade on a 2004 Toyota Sienna

You gotta flip the wiper arm up, and turn the blade out. Underneath you will find a tab in the center. Press in on this tab and slide the blade out.

SOURCE: How do I replace the Rear Brake light bulb of 2001 Toyota Sienna?

I have a 2001 Sienna and have had to replace most of my tail light bulbs.

The bulbs that are mounted in the fender (wrap arounds) have acess panels in the van's interior that easily pop out and expose the back of the light assembly.

However, the bulbs that are found in the lift gate are a different matter. You have to remove the whole interior panel to the lift gate to expose the light assemblies. Go to your auto parts store and get a tool to help pop out the plastic retainers from the lift gates metal frame. Don't force the retainers out. Go slowly and gently so that you don't damage the interior panel. If you are really gentle you might even get to reuse the retainers.

Good luck!

Can the headlight assembly of a 2004 Toyota Sienna be disassembled to replace a faulty low beam bulb?

The whole bulb will have to be replaced. One bulb has high/low beam. You should be able to access it from behind the light assembly. You should have a locking device at the headlight assembly and be able to pull the assembly out to make it easier.

Replace toyota sienna brake light - Model 2000

If you are talking about the High Brake Light at the top of the tailgate:

1.) Take out the two Phillips head screws in the lens.
2.) Carefully pry the lens straight back . The gasket sticks to the paint so be careful not to rip the foam gasket.
3.) The bulb is a 921 replacement. Easily found size.

If you're talking about the brake light in the tail light assembly:

The instructions for accessing the tail light are in the Owners Manual. Basically, you have to remove one or two screw/bolts from the inside of the vehicle, then there are two snap type plastic hole/receptacle in the plastic tail light assembly. Be very careful that you pry on the housing in the proper direction, perpendicular to the entry of the snap in connector, or you will break the plastic bayonet or attachment to the lens assembly.

It sounds harder than it really is once you take a look at it. If you have a manual, it will tell you and show you how to get the rear tail lights off easily without breaking any of the plastic connectors. Hope this helps.

2004 Sienna where is fuse located for parking/night running light

The fuse block is located under the left side of the dash. The 10amp fuse you're looking for is the second from the bottom on the right side. It should be marked Tail. Hope this helps.

How do I replace a tail light

Not sure if you mean the whole tail light assembly or only the bulb. For either one on that vehicle it should be the same process, more than likely you will have to remove a few screws inside the rear hatch which should allow the tail light assembly to be pulled out. The bulb connector will have a clip or will need turned a certain way to pull the bulb/connecter out of the assembly. Replace the burnt bulb and reassemble. Since I haven't seen the vehicle, there is a chance that is like some cars and the access to change a bulb is accessed from inside the vehicle inside the rear compartments.

How do you access the rear tail light bulbs to replace in a 2006 sienna van?

2006 Sienna taillight.
Open tailgate. Loosen bolts holding tailight assembly. Standing next to the car, pull light assembly toward the side and back of the car. It will feel like you're going to break the light assembly, but you won't. I attempted this last fall (2008), but feelin' a bit uncomfortable pulling on it in different directions, I reassembled it and had the guys at the dealership do it right there in the dealership parking lot. If it was to break, I wanted them to break it! But it didn't break and I saw how to do it next time.
