Ford focus replacing windshield wiper switch

Rear wiper stopped working. Fuse is good. Plug at the rear has 3 wires, one ground, one hot all the time, and one with no voltage ever. I suspect the switch or maybe there is a relay. The motor works fine when I put power to it so it has to be something upstream from there. Any sugestions?

SOURCE: Rear wiper Ford Explorer 1998 won't work.

Look for the fuse for the rear wiper motor is a 15 amp mini-fuse , in location # 8 of your POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX in the engine compartment. Check in the PD BOX for; - relay # 8 is the rear wiper down relay , and - relay # 10 is the rear wiper up relay .

SOURCE: rear wiper motor broke

Well you going to have to open the tailgate up and remove the inside cover that is attached to it. You will need a small flat head and a No. 2 star head screw driver and some gloves so that you don't cut your hands....

First where the handle is remove the caps on the handle and then remove the handle there may be a small pocket around the handle to remove it also with the screw driver....And then remove the garnish from around the tailgate by using the small flat head and your fingers to pry it off with....Remember just to take your time when doing this and wear some safety glasses so that nothing goes in your eyes.

Once you have removed the garnish you should see the wiper motor there should be three bolts that hold it in place and wire wire coupler that it hooked up to it. And before you undo the motor you will need to go on the outside of the tail gate you will need to remove the wiper arm off of the motor and then take the rest off after that.

2005 Tahoe rear windshield wiper inoperative in dash panel position 1or2

Rear Wiper/Washer System Components
The rear wiper/washer system consists of the following components:
• Rear wiper/washer switch
• Window wiper module-rear
• Window washer pump-rear
• RR WIPER 15A fuse
• RR WPRB 25A fuse
Rear Wiper/Washer System Operation
The rear wiper module controls rear wiper motor operation. Battery voltage supplied to the module is used to operate the wiper motor in all modes and to return the rear wiper arm to the park position after the ignition is turned off. Accessory voltage supplied to the rear wiper/washer switch is used to supply the rear window wiper and washer switch signal circuits. In wiper switch positions 1 and 2 the wiper switch signal circuit voltage level to the wiper motor module determines the wiper motor delay interval. The rear window washer pump supply voltage circuit is used to provide the operating voltage for the rear washer pump for as long as the rear washer switch is pressed. The rear window washer switch signal circuit is used as a wash signal to the rear wiper motor module to operate the wipers during the rear wash operation.

Did you replace the rear wiper module ?

I have a 07 Chevy Equinox. my front washer sprayer wont work. Fuse is good, i ran power to the fuse and the sprayer worked fine. i figured its prob the switch so i replaced it, but it still wont work.

The washer fuse should have power (battery voltage) while the ignition switch is in the RUN position. Verify both sides of the fuse have power. If the rear wash functions them it's not the fuse.

The switch signals the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM energizes the front washer relay.

Input to BCM from switch is BCM connector C1,24 PK. Output from BCM to relay is connector C4 15 OG.

You need to verify continuity from the the switch to the BCM and from the BCM to the relay.

2006 Malibu maxx front or back washer pumps will not work. pulled both pumps out and made sure both work. I have pulled all fuses, relays out replace them all. Both pumps work off Separate switches.

Replacing parts just to replace them wont fix a bad wire or part. Better to use a voltmeter and ohn meter to check if your getting power to the wires. You may have a bad connection or bad switch on the column for the pumps. Without checking the circuits it will behard to tell what it is thats wrong. Find a wiring diagram and trace the wires and components.

Why no wiper fluid to rear wiper 2002 ford explorer

the washer pump for the rear window is located in the washer bottle under the hood that the front washer work out of. the pump may have stopped working and needs replacing. have someone operate the rear washers and listen at the washer bottle to see if you hear the motor working. if not then you will have to check the plug connection for the rear washer pump for corrosion, broken wires and power and grounds. if these check out ok then replace the rear washer pump in the bottle.

Rear wiper doesnt work on my 51 plate focus

Start by checking your fuses. Then put your ear against the wiper arm and have a friend turn it on. if you hear humming then the motor is bad and needs to be replaced. If all else fails check for voltage at the motor. there should be 3 wiree. One will have voltage all the time with the key on, one should be switched voltage and the last will be ground.

99 Nissan Quest real wiper runs continually when ignition is on

Principles of Operation
Operation of the windshield wiper and washer is controlled by the front wiper/washer amplifier assembly. The front wiper/washer amplifier input comes from the multifunction switch by means of a voltage divider circuit. A constant voltage is applied to the multifunction switch by the front wiper/washer amplifier. When the multifunction switch is moved into the LO, HI, or intermittent position, the voltage is directed through a series of resistors. This results in various voltages being returned to the module for each switch position. The module then grounds the appropriate circuit, based on the voltage signal received back from the multifunction switch. This causes the wipers to run intermittently, or at the appropriate speed. Voltage is supplied to the wiper motor by the CJB fuse F46 (20A).
When the multifunction switch wash button is depressed, it bypasses all of the resistors returning a full voltage signal to the module. The module then grounds the appropriate circuits to operate the windshield washer pump for as long as the switch is depressed. The windshield wiper speed is dependent on the position of the windshield wiper/washer switch.
Voltage for the windshield washer pump is also provided by CJB fuse F46 (20A).
Operation of the rear wiper and washer is controlled by the rear wiper/washer switch.
Voltage is supplied to the rear window wiper motor by the fuse junction panel fuse F44 (10A).
The rear window wiper motor ground is made or broken by the rear wiper/washer switch. When the rear wiper/washer switch is moved into the WIPER position, it grounds the rear window wiper motor circuit, causing the rear window wiper motor to run once every 10-15 seconds.
Voltage to the rear washer pump motor is also supplied by the CJB fuse F44 (10A). The rear washer pump is directly controlled by the rear wiper/washer switch which makes or breaks the ground for the washer pump motor, depending upon its position.
If the vehicle is equipped with a movable liftgate glass, a liftgate glass switch is utilized to prevent rear window wiper operation when the liftgate glass is open. This same switch also causes the rear window wiper to drop down approximately three inches when the liftgate glass latch is released.
