My car's battery had been dead for a while. We put a new battery in and next thing you know, the airbag light was on. First it flashed 3 times on, then flashed 3 times again, then it just stayed on. I turned off the car, then turned it back on and it kept doing this in the same sequence. Please help! I need to take my car to inspection and I am afraid it won't pass!

You will need to contact your local dealer, airbags are very dangerous and this is not a repair you want to attempt yourself.

You have a bad Passenger Air Bag Deactivation Indicator. The bulb that shows when the passenger air bag is off.
Have seen alot of these go bad especially in police cars. The part number you need is 5W1Z-10A936-A.

there is also a device called a transponder, it is AROUND the ignition switch and this is the part that reads your key code. thim might be your problem, hope this helps and good luck- P.S. i hope you didn't end up paying for the "repairs" that the mechanics made as they oviously havn't fixed the problem and probably were not correctly diagnosed.
