The fuses in the engine compartment are not the ones that run the internal electrical circuits. IF you go to autozone website you can make a free account and then put in the year, make and model and then look for the free repair guides.

Well for that you could look at a junkyard or automotive supply dealer, you'd be looking for a 12volt accessory socket\lighter socket.

Wiring it would be pretty simple, you uninstall the one in your dash and install the new one.

You'll need basic tools for this and a soldering iron, solder, shrink wrap tubing and a lighter. A wire stripper wouldn't be a bad idea either.

The cigarette lighter fuse is the 3rd fuse from the left on the top row.

Is it getting power? I had an issue with the power plug being too large for the receptacle. My dvd power (2002 T&C van) went to the cigarette lighter with a in-line plug --male and female ends. I made a small adjustment to the plastic to make it fit.

Disconnect the battery!

Disconnect the wire from the rear of the cigarette lighter.

Grip the rear of the lighter, and the front chrome ring and twist counterclockwise. The two pieces will separate.

Wrap electrical tape around the open lead under the dash to prevent future electrical issues.

You can purchase a "plug" for the hole in the dashboard from most auto parts stores.
