This could be due to varies problems.

Some of the most common issues to cause this are:

1 - Not getting fuel ( Faulty fuel line, pump, etc)
2 - Not getting a spark ( dead battery, faulty alternator, faulty wires)
3 - Issue with the car's computer.

Please describe what you are hearing and seeing when attempting to start the vehicle. ( i.e. the car will keep turning over, but not catch, or you hear a clicking noise, or nothing happens at all).

Mazda wont start, brand new battery

sounds like you have a failing ecu. the capacitors in the ecu are worn out. there has been a lot of problems with the ecu on mazda's over the years, only take one out put overload from the alternator and the ecu starts playing up. no codes come up as it don't code its self. having the battery off is like a reset.

1994 Cadillac deville starting problems

As with any no start issue, someone will need to check for spark at the plugs and fuel pressure at the injectors to proceed.
Could be a relay or the fuel pump, or a long list of things.

This sounds more like a crankshaft position sensor. When they start going bad they will work when vehicle relatively cold but fail when hot.

Hope this helps, it it does please leave feedback and vote Thank You and Good Luck
