Could be a dirty fuel inject problem
run the fault code first to check for cam/crank position sensor problems or other electronic faults
and go from there
a dealer charging $80.00/ hr is cheap as where i am it is $145.00 /hr

SOURCE: 82 corvette crossfire injection, engine

Please go to the crossfire injection forum to get some straight answers to the 82 corvette CFI system and how to troubleshoot it properly. There's a lot of misinformation given here, so much so, I don't know where to begin.

One thing is, the 82 corvette CFI does NOT have a MassAir Flow sensor system, it uses MAP and O2 mostly. The CTS sends a signal to the ECM telling it what the temp of the motor is and in turn the ECM controls the amount of fuel being dumped. On the older (orignal) CTS sensors, they have one wire and takes its ground from the threads. If any coorosion takes place, usually the CTS will report a cold engine and request lots of fuel.

To repair this issue, install one of the newer style CTS sensors that have two wires, one for signal and the other is ground.

Fuel pressure and vacuum leaks on any CFI motor play key roles. Set the FP to 14-15psi measured inbetween the TBs. The regulator is located on the rear TB and must be slightly moded to make it adjustable and can be done in a few minutes.

SOURCE: how much will it cost to regas my aircon? holden

That depends on the tariff of the shop. The air con unit needs at most 1.6 liters of fluid and the work needed implies just hooking the refill unit to the aircon and flipping 2 buttons.  Between $25 at the local corner repair shop to $500 for an official dealer. Shop for the best offer available.

P0305 and P0014 can one afect the other and how to fix

PO305 is cylinder #5 misfire.
PO014 is Camshaft position fault.
The camshaft determines which valves open and when. If the cam is out of position (called "jumped timing"), several bad things can happen. Usually an engine that has jumped time will not start or will run very roughly with little to no power if it does start.
Chances of jumped timing are low, but in a high-mileage engine, not impossible. More likely is a faulty cam position sensor or wiring. Misfiring of one or more cylinders is quite likely in this condition.
Additionally, once the cause has been corrected and the computer codes reset and cleared, you may very well get an emissions error code, as actual cylinder misfiring (even running out of gas) is notorious for causing emission control, catalytic converter and O2 sensor failures (any code between PO400-PO499).

Misfires are caused by loss of either spark, gas, or compression. Most likely you have lost gas. Spark is normal? Compression is probably okay. Check your fuel pressure-especially when it has stalled and won't restart.

88 toyota has little power when gas is pressed

your engine seems to be running rich. that may be do to a bad spark plug, spark plug wire, bad distributor cap. If you have a 22re you should check for trouble codes by jumping TE1 and E1.
cb1bd5e.gif

You should also check your engine timing. With a timing light. The timing marks are located on or above the oil pump. keep in mind in order to get timing right you must have TE1 and E1 jumped. Set to 5 degrees advanced. If your engine is improperly timed it will accelerate slowly, and get worse mileage.

Also adjust/Check engine valves appropriately. they will cause low power.

Also does it misfire at idle?
