Wife is stuck with sister, her ford focus 2005 key fob was lost at a shopping center she has key but without the key fob the alarm can't be turned off and the car will not start. Is there any easy fix to get the car started?

notify viper or an audio / alarm shop

the alarm will be deactivated by key in door lock unlock, the no start is not alarm, check security red led is on, indicating key programing needed

check remote battery if that doesn't work could be a fuse blown, the accuators are bad but if its doing both doors unlikely theyd both go bad at same time however some vehicles will not work on either if one of the 2 is bad that's me assuming you have a 2 door vehicle. same for 4 door but rear may work as front doors wont or all 4 could not work depends on vehicle. If its not accuator you could have a problem witht he alarm brain and for that take it to a stereo shop they do alarms and most places will check it for $25

most alarms will turn off when the ignition key is turned

Inset the key into the driver door and turn to unlock position three times to disengage alarm system without remote. Do the same in lock position for setting alarm without key fob.

you willhave to get a new fob from the manufactures as the fob is coded for that car

Sounds like you have a gold remote start in your vehicle as that red light would have to be installed with the unit. If it is still installed but you just lost the remote that is ok. If you look underneath in the drivers foot area there should be a programming button for the module. It will be a little black button with 2 brown wires coming out the back of it. Press this button and it will disarm the system. If you still have the factory key fob hitting the unlock button should also disable it. I would recommend unplugging the module or going to a dealership and purchasing a new fob so this problem doesn't keep reoccuring. your ignition have to be replaced focus 2002/7 have that problem and a lot more often if you have a lot of other keys with it,try some wd40 ,but if you do take the key out replace the ignition or you going to get stuck.

if its a factory alarm you put the key in and quickly turn the key on and of i cant remember if its 8 or 9 times but the horn will chirp then you push the lock and unlock on the fob the locks should respond then turn key off and your done. note that if you have more than one fob you have to press lock and unlock on all of them before you turn the key off and i believe you only have about fifteen seconds to do so if not let me know i will look it up at work

it can be done but you will have to have a dealer do it. and they will probably just get you a new controller and 2 new fobs.
