Car run great the only issue is the dashboard brake light is flashing randomly. ...Finally, the instrument cluster is hardwired to the ABS module, ... Also,i change the parking brake switch and the light goes on & off less frequent.
May 3, 2009 - What does ABS flashing light mean at the dashboard of my 1996 ... just hard enough to skid a tiny but, then back off a hair to stop skidding.
Usually EPC, means electronic pressure control. This is a solenoid inside the transmission. Very common replacement part. Being it is a VW, it could be some thing else. Have the codes read and repost.
Flashing probably means you need to have it diagnosed or serviced. If it's on steady read this: There's a switch just in front of the shift lever (it's an automatic transmission but with an "on the floor" lever). It's a toggle switch. On the left side is the letter P and on the right is the letter H. Pressing the P side down, the letters PWR appear on the left side of the dashboard instrument panel. Pressing the H side donw, the letters HOLD appear on the right side of the instrument panel. Evidently, those are important enough options to include in the design of the vehicle. If I can track down an owner's manual, I'll update you with the purpose of those options.
the only thing I can think of that would looks anything like what your talking about is the light that tells you your engine is overheating

does it look something like my terrible letter drawing?
if its comming on when your first start your engine, although checking your fluids would be a good place to start it could be a sensor.
The Flashing S indicates that there's a problem with your Transmission Control Module (TCM). Most likely the TCM has gone bad and needs to be replaced. You will need to get a new TCM from the dealer. Replacing the TCM should turn off the light
