The throttle control is not operated with a mechanical wire. But it is a computer controlled system in which the engine ECM controls the engine speed, after getting the data from various sensors. The idle speed adjustment is carried out with special tools and equipment.

The 2.8 is not a turbo charged engine, so would not have a turbine speed sensor. The 1.8 or 2.0 were turbo charged.

AT THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IS A BLACK BOX LOCATED AT THE DRIVERS SIDE INSIDE THE PLENUM CHAMBER.UNBOLT THE 5 8MM BOLTS.TAKE THE COVER OUT CAREFULLY.UNDERNEATH TWO RELAYS ARE LOCATED .THE NUMBER 30 RELAY YHE ONE AT THE TOP IS RESPONSIBLE THE MOST FOOR CAUSING THIS TROUBLE.DOES THE CAR STARTS IMMEDIATELY WHEN U CRANK IT AFTER IT SHUTS OFF?IF SO THEN CHECK THE SPEED SENSOR . IT IS THE GRAY CONNECTOR BESIDE THE COOLANT TANK

it is part of the power train control module (PCM) and takes part of it's input from the wheel speed sensors located in each hub as well as the vehicle speed sensor located in the transmission

Hi. The crankshaft position sensor is located on the intake sector of the engine block, near the flywheel.This will be on the AAA engine build.

On the ABA build, The crankshaft position sensor is mounted on the side of the engine block, near the crank pulley.

The crank, or speed impulse sensor is held into the block with a single bolt, I believe it is a torx or allen head cap screw and it will be just adjacent to the oil filter. The cam sensor is behind the timing cover. The crank sensor (speed impulse) is a far more common failure

you need the engine speed sensor. Ask the vendor where the exact location is. This is a foreign Car code.Volks wagon. Looked up the code and somebody else had the problem.
