Car started making weird noise when I used turn signal then it stopped when I turned it off. I also noticed my seatbelt light and brake light randomly going on while driving. I stopped it and it would not start. Lights and radio were working and it continued to make same weird buzzing noise when I tried to start it. I waited a few minutes and was able to start it. I am wondering if it is the starter?

IT's the MULIT SWITCH!! I had the same problem, replaced it (about $150) and it's all good now! Don't listen to those $ hungry mechanics.

You either have a bad solenoid on your starter OR a bad ignition switch as these are the only two things that can cause the symptom you describe... I lean to the solenoid first, RARELY does an ignition switch sieze up in the start position but it is a possibility. Several national chain parts stores can test the starter for you (GM starters have the starter solenoid mounted directly to the starter and you need to remove the starter to get to it, so you would take the whole unit in to test it... REMEMBER to disconnect the battery first!)

A low voltage issue will cause all these symptoms. You should have the alternator checked as well as the battery. Good Luck

A flasher would not cause this problem, It's in the trun signal switch, it needs to be replaced

Check your wires, the smoke could mean an electrical fire.
