If it was starving for gas the catalytic converter wouldn't get hot. So look for excessive fuel flow. This condition is caused by a defective MAP sensor. It acts like an altimeter for the computer and adjusts the amount of fuel for optimal power at any altitude.
To start with not getting gas so you changed spark ????what spark.
Go to fuse box find pump relay and get it tested if ok then check feed at relay if ok go to pump check power with test light first and then check power to fuse box.[ if you havent already ].
Good chance it is not getting fuel, or enough fuel. When the rig is cold, the choke is closed. As it warms up, the choke opens. If the metering jets inside the carb are dirty, they may not be letting enough fuel into the barrels. You could also have a vac leak that is masked by the choke until the engine warms up.
I had the same problem with my blazer and it took me to completely rebuild the throttle body and put over $300 into the top end, new filter, and it still didn't stop. I finally dropped the tank and started to go through all the proper steps to remove the new fuel pump and i found that the rubber tube from the pump filter to the intake tube had a crack down the middle of it, replaced that and it ran perfectly fine. if that's not the case make certain that you didn't accidentally switch the small fuel lines like i did.(you'll notice that EVERYTHING smells like gas and you'll have fuel draining out of the charcoal cab emissions filter). hope that helps out a little bit!
