When I play a CD and eject it the motor keeps running and saying it is loading. How do I fix this problem.

When I play a CD in my car CD player sometimes it will skip. When I eject the CD the motor in the player keeps humming and it says it is loading even though there is no CD in it.

Can you tell me what type of cleaner to purchase. I bought a Scotch CD Laser Lens Cleaner for CD & DVD Players and Drives yesterday, but when I opened it and read the instructions it said not to use it in automobiles.

SOURCE: CD Player does not eject CD

Just took one apart tonight. Same problem, put in cd-played fine-push eject then click click click.
2004 nissan sentra 140 watt single cd player/radio.
This dash comes apart by pulling the top of dash (with the tray) straight out the clips should release. the bottom part had to be pried a little, then remove four screws and slide out the radio still attached to the mount and dash etc. One screw holds on the top of the stereo. After removing the screw you must pry the top off. Now it gets a little tricky, you must remove the cd player portion, however there are 5 tiny springs holding it down to some pads. The two springs in the rear are under a piece of the stereos frame held on by two screws, I had to use various sizes of tweezers to get the springs off. Lift the player out of the radio about an inch, you will see one 1/2" ribbon in a connector, the top of the connector slides out along the ribbon to release. The other ribbon about the same size plugs into a small daughter board in the radio, it just pulls out and pushes in (you can feel it is reinforced). once out turn it over and you will see what would be considered a gearbox, (small white gears in a see through case) one of the corners of this case has a screw through it. This corner has broken away from the board letting the gears come apart when trying to eject (this is the clicking). I took a soldering iron and melted the plastic back together and put a small amount of 5-min epoxy on for good measure. When putting back into case you can hook up the ribbon cables before all the spring grief and test it out. Mine worked perfectly again. Be care full when putting back together, there are a lot of little micro switches that must be in the correct position) Example, if the cd is ejected the white arm on the right side must be in the correct position. the read head (laser) must be away from the center of the cd. I believe it was easier to put together with it in the cd-in position (without a cd in it) so the laser must be toward the center of the cd. Don't force the laser, use the worm gear to move it in or out. I couldn't put one of the springs back on but it still works fine Good luck, it's not as hard as it sounds

SOURCE: 2007 nissan maxima will not load or eject CD's...or even play the

Hi, this is a common issue within car CD changers. the load motor go through lots of trauma during the life span that i usually 3 to 5 years. the load motor operates everything in the changer. it works the load tray and spinning of the disc as well. when this motor is out, the changer will be rendered useless. replacing the load motor will fix this issue or, you can just purchase a new changer and save a lot of money.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 ford escape. The cd player won't

You have a mechanism failure on the changer which is preventing the mode of the function to return to the normal state. Hence the processor is giving out the error signal. First of all open the changer and ceck for mechanism damage. if not slowl try to rotate the load motor to return to the normal state and eject. now check the connections to the motor, the flexible line wiring may be defective. use a loop wire or test the continuity from the motor. if there is a rest switch use it for resetting, if not disconnect poweer nd power again. Some cd'smay be warped or damaged and causing to block the sensitive transport. remove of these cd's and testt again. if there is no motr drive at all then the IC of the motor drive has failed. clean and set back. hope this helps you. Good day

I just acquired the same problem. I tried to put a new CD in and it wouldn't take it. I ended up pushing it in when I was trying to get it back out and now it won't play the CD, or eject it. I think it could be stuck between tracks, but they want $188 to look at it and fix it even if it is a simple fix. I am looking for suggestions also, Diane

I have only seen this problem once and the only fix was to replace the cd player. I would suggest to get an aftermarket cd player from electronics store and have them install it. The factory option is over 700 installed. sorry
