Fuel injector/timingbelt I was told that my fuel injectors where damaged because the timingbelt was not properly. My question is, what has the working of the fuel injector got to do with timingbelt. 2000 mitshi spacewagon

    the timingbelt adjuster was changed and car now cuts after a few miles and will not not start unless the injector switch is pulled and reconnected. I was told when the adjuster for the timingbelt was installed it was not don properly and that damaged the injectors. Is that true or I'm being taking for a ride.

Absolutely nothing at all... if the timing belt wasnt installed properly it would bend valves or run rough.. but NOT have a thing to do with fuel injection system

the rail on this engine, fuel rail like all , intake manifold injectors used;. all injector held down by both rails. left and right
now the steps to off them if is the job,
pull the isolator seen photo 1, far below.
1: pull left rail and right rail
Remove and discard the fuel injector retainer clips by installing EN-51097 injector retaining clip installer and spreading both sides of the clip evenly.
Always use NEW fuel injector collars supplied with injector when installing the new injector. If reinstalling the injector, it is not necessary to remove the collars unless the collars are being replaced.
Replace the injector seals as needed. Refer to Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection.
Note
Inspect the injectors to be sure that they are clean and free of debris prior to installation. Do NOT lubricate the injector seals. Rebuild the fuel injectors whenever the injector has been removed from the fuel injector rail.

Note
Inspect the injectors to be sure that they are clean and free of debris prior to installation. Do NOT lubricate the injector seals. Rebuild the fuel injectors whenever the injector has been removed from the fuel injector rail.

  1. Remove the fuel pump insulator. Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement
  2. Remove the fuel injector intermediate pipe position?1. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement - Position 1
  3. Clean the cylinder head pocket around the injectors of any dirt or buildup.
  4. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connectors from the fuel rail.
  5. the fuel rail fasteners are retained in the fuel rail by keepers and may be difficult to remove.Remove the fuel rail fasteners?(1) securing the injector rail?(2).
    Install two sets of EN-49248 remover?(3).
  6. Install one remover in each of the fuel rail fastener bores.
  7. Remove by turning each section of the EN-49248 remover an even amount to pull the fuel rail and injectors out evenly.
  8. CAUTION
  9. Remove the fuel rail assembly carefully in order to prevent damage to the injector electrical connector terminals and the injector spray tips. Support the fuel rail after the fuel rail is removed in order to avoid damaging the fuel rail components.
  10. Cap the fittings and plug the holes when servicing the fuel system in order to prevent dirt and other contaminants from entering open pipes and passages.
    1. Simultaneously lift both ends of the fuel rail?(2) and remove the fuel rail assembly from the cylinder head.
  11. Remove and DISCARD the fuel injector seals.
  12. Some vehicles were not originally equipped with fuel injector dust seals. A NEW seal must be installed when the injectors are removed.
    Remove and DISCARD the fuel injector dust seal (1).
  13. NOTE
    Note
    Whenever the fuel injectors are removed from the cylinder head or fuel rail, they will need to be rebuilt. Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection

I have a 2004 Nissan Titan with about 76k miles. Cranks won't start.

low miles for age, a USA car? ENgine told at all and is and engine EFI problem.
5.6L V8 engine????????? NISSAN
all fuses tested good, skip NONE.
scan show not one DTC error right>?
no starts have 50 causes. guessing is super expensive and invites big time adding 2nd or 3 problem from just 1.
not old are all injectors bad? or just 1.?
the PCM fires the injector, and cuts them all for many reasons.
you did not scan the PCM after the no start event>?
all car parts stores sell injectors. uses and new and rebuilt.
I send them out for reverse flow ultr sonic cleaning,
they have 10 micron screens inside so must be reverse flow cleaned
so the engine starts and runs on spray instant start in a can?
3sec blasted to intake and runs for 3 seconds and the enigine sounds good try it 3 times to be sure that????????????????
if yes, we do check 2 or more things.
we use NOID lamp to see if all injectors pulse x8
or scope tested any scope works
and check injector pins for ohms good $15 dmm meter and bingo all are same ohms. 15ohms is common.
fuse 55 powers all injectors here, daisy chained.
the PCM drives all injectors (low ) with on board, PCM drivers.
there is no such thing this Injector pulse module at all , like we say in early 1990 or late 1980s, sorry NO SUCH THING
am not arguing names but the PCM runs all 8 injectors ALL BY ITSELF for sure.
nos scanning the PCM is a huge error. what if you had dtc codes for shorted open injector coils.
the PCM has 122 pins on 3 or more connectors
if input to the PCM are wrong he PCM cuts fuel.
if the PCM detects spark is hard dead, the PCM cuts fuel to prevent crash and burn as seen on TV (jive)
the PCm cuts fuel if any cmp or CKP sensor dies
see why I asked if all injector pulses are dead
and the p55 fuse is hot key on as are all injector pins hot key on?
the PCm cuts fuel also for IMMO failures of ANY KIND
the PCm cuts fuel for SRS system crash detectors tripped.
the PCM cuts fuel for any gross error of TBW.
THROTTLE BY WIRE HERE, IF SAY THROTTLE TV VALVE MOTOR STICKS OPEN IT FOR SURE CUTS FUEL DEAD.
F22 FUSE BLOWN GEE KILLS THIS TBW DEAD.
NO MORE DRIVING OVER KIDS NOW. OR 1BILLION $ LAWSUITS. AS TOYOTA SUFFERED AND WAS NOT THEIR FAULT AT ALL.

IF YOU WANT TO DO DIY, YOU MUST HAVE TOOLS.
A REAL SCAN TOOL
A FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE
AND ANY CHEAP DMM. $15 UP.
IF ALL INJECTORS ARE DEAD SAY SO.
IF ONE IS DEAD REPLACE IT OR CHECK OHMS FIRST.
IF NOT SAME OHMS AS OTHERS THERE IT IS BAD. FOR SURE.
IF ALL ARE DEAD NOW YOU KNOW WHY THEY ARE.

1: DEAD DRIVER
2: WEAK DRIVER ,OVERHEAT DAMAGED.
OR 12VDC POWER ON OTHER PIN IS GONE, THE DRIVER SEEMS DEAD. AND IS NOT.

Well depending on what it is. Most of the times you have 2 banks. Banks 1 and 2. Each bank controls 3 injectors each. When one injector is bad, usually shorted it shuts off the whole bank to protect the engine

How to remove the fuel injectors on 350 cummins

only remove fuel injectors after you have properly marked all the fuel pipes for what cylinder to go to (it matters!!) also carefully bleed off high pressure fuel from lines before removing them all the way (watch your eyes!!) use only a six sided socket to remove fuel injectors or you may damage them , try to avoid using an "IMpact" gun to remove , and allways reinstall with using a torque wrench to assure proper tightness , make sure you get fuel lines back exactly on new injectors exactly as you took them off , its also a good idea to replace glow plugs if equipped at same time

Never heard of what your saying

You were told something you don't understand
about drive cycles & if they are required a shop
is to look up that procedure & do it for you before
giving you the car back

They don't know what their doing ,period

Your car was not diagnosed properly for your original
drivabiltiy complaint

They may have found & replace something that wasn't
as it should be, but it should have run as poorly for them
as it does for you,should it not

If that was a dealer,they may have never road tested it

There are no drive cycles that require any miles to relearn
& no relearn for an injector

Need to get back to them on what you were told,but your
not responsible to drive any distance,pure nonsense &
sloppy work & untrue advice

I start my vehicle, its turns over then cuts off. I have to pump the gas to get it to stay on. it stays on when driving. is it a fuel injector or pump issue? i was told it may be just gunk and needs fuel...

You can try the fuel cleaner but more then likely, it is something other then that. Check the fuek pump and make sure it is working correctly. Test the wires. It should be 12 V. Follow the line down to the fuel filter and check that. Make sure fuel is getting to the filter. The filter may be clogged. If that checks out, follow the gas lines down and make sure there are no leaks or damage. Next, move to the injectors. Make sure they are working properly. Check the fuel regulator as well. 95 Mazda b2300 ( Engine code p0320) misfire cyl 2

Have you replaced the spark plugs?? Use good plugs such as ngk. Look for signs of carbon tracking on porcelain (black dirt looking marks that can NOT be wiped off. If present replace spark plug and coil boot to repair.

Injectors are not opening on a 1992 buick century 3.3

I have been told on some cars that the cam sensor provides the pulses for the fuel injection. Hope it works for Ya!!
