Very simply you can't.There is no distributor to rotate The timing is controlled by engine sensors sending data to the computer.The computer sets the timing from this data. As for the manual, you are going to have to shell out a couple of bucks. I like the online manuals like Alldata or Mitchell. They are much more inclusive and up to date than book manuals. They also have a full list of technical service bulletins that can point you to a problem that otherwise may be hard to diagnose and repair.TSB's give you a description of the problem and a fix with part numbers from the manufacturer.Sometimes the problem is fixable at the dealer for little or no cost.
