I suspected that someone has stolen gas from my 1997 Camry twice. I am wondering whether my Camry has an anti siphon valve for the gas tank. If not, is it possible to add one in, and which valve should I purchase?

SOURCE: 1997 Camry Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

Removal of the plenum is pretty straight forward. You will need to replace the plenum gasket after you remove it; the gasket is not reusable. Personally, if I was going to take the trouble to remove the plenum, I would replace the plugs and wires back there, also.
I know, I have a 93 Camry V6, and it is a real pain to do the plugs and wires with the plenum on. There are no secrets or great tips on the plenum removal, just take your time. Remember that there are different size bolts, and where they go. Please get back to me if you need any more info...Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa to resolve your issue.
The graciousness of a FixYa rating for my assistance would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: 1997 Toyota Camry XLE has an overnight parasitic

This should be done with everything turned off and the door closed. with negative battery disconnected. place 12 v test light between the battery terminal and the cable end.(on neg. side) if the light lites up there is a drain. remove one fuse at a time until u see the lite go out. that is the sytem the drain is on. usually glove box light or trunk light or visor light left on or stuck on.

Someone tried to siphon gas out of my car..left a 10 ft hose nearby my car I wondered if it was possible

No. There is an anti rollover valve in the gas filler neck of all modern vehicles that prevents a syphon hose from reaching the gas tank.

Most modern thieves will simply drill a small hole in the gas tank and take what they want (allowing the rest to drain out on the ground).

However, there is one trick that gas thieves can use to reach the gas through the fuel filler, but it involves using a small, still metal tube (think refrigerator icemaker water line tubing), cut at a sharp angle and twisted while it was being inserted. It takes a while to do this, and will take forever to syphon out just a gallon, but it can be done.

Can I siphon gas from a 1995 ford thunderbird the v 8

Most cars have an anti siphoning device in the filler tube that resembles a screen so you can't put a tube down to be able to siphon gas out of the tank.

Siphon gas tank

That will be the anti theft device working then. Try using the drain bolt on the fuel tank.

When I try and siphon gas from my 1991 Olds Cutlass Supreme, I can't seem to get the hose all the way into the gas tank. Is there some type of restriction that hinders siphoning?

You can,t there is a ball inside that will let fuel in Its there so if the vehicle rolls over the ball moves beck to stop the fuel spilling out of the tank You would need to disconnect the fuel inlet hose at the tank to siphon fuel from the tank

Does the 2004 cavalier have an anti-siphon valve between the filler tube and the gas tank?

not 100% on this but i believe all cars after like 97 have an anti-siphon screen that keeps the tube from entering the gas tank.

Have 01 olds bravda, having trouble fueling vech. suspect anti siphon vavle malfunctioning, ware is this located & can i bypass somehow?

The anti syphon valve is in the filler hose on top of the fuel tank, if you drop the fuel tank then pull the filler hose off you should be able to see the problem. Also check the air bleed is not plugged as it will not allow the tank to fill.
