P0336 means Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance. Try replacing the crank sensor next.

Have a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier that all of the sudden the check engine light came on and the traction off light came on error codes p0130 and p0336 or what is coming up when the car was checked we have...

P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor Range Performance
DTC P0130 O2S Circuit Closed Loop (CL) Performance Sensor 1 This doesn't mean the O2 sensor is bad .

Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair that know how to use scan data to diagnose the problem . No code states a part be replaced. There are diagnostic test procedures for testing the electrical circuits of sensors , data parameters etc.. An trying to add refrigerant when you know nothing about A/C systems is just asking to be hurt .
my suggestion to you would be take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop ,before you hurt yourself.
It takes special tools to diagnose and repair the modern automobile an some people should not even try .
Thousands of dollars of testing equipment , not guessing , an looking for magical fixes on here . It takes years to get good at diagnosing automotive OBD fuel management system problems .Sorry mary ,but i see it every day at work . People try fixing there own vehicle ,when they can't ,then they take it to a shop . Cost big $$$$$ . it wouldn't have if they would have just take it to the shop in the first place .

right? if you break it you are DIP, dead in pavement.

if the scan tool says its good, why do that. really?

the ECU reports even 1 drop in 10, so did it?
most are good, but getting parts off rusty engines can be very very hard.

2000 sunfire has p0336, p0340, p0130, where to

p0130 is an oxygen sensor code.
p0340 is your camshaft position sensor code
p0336 is your crankshaft position sensor code

as far as the p0130 code those usually are what i call neglected sensors that do not get replaced when they should be. this sensor is expensive but worth the money as it will help on fuel mileage.

on to the camshaft position sensor, i would start here with this. replace that sensor and when you are replacing it, inspect the sensor and make sure the electrical wires going into it are in good shape. after replacing those 2 sensors, go to a parts store who can erase your codes to turn the light off and then let us know if it comes back on and then we will go from there on the repair.
