Can anyone help solve my problem with my lucida it has a miss and also makes a pop pop noise while ideling and also gets worse whilst driving thankyou
Hi had the same problem with my car turned out to be the electronic mapping for the diesel injectors. quick trip to the dealer and they reset it. dont know what year your toyota was made but new diesels are a pain to do your self

I have had the same problem and am fairly sure it is the glowplug not working (I haven't tested it yet). The cylinder with the dead glowplug keeps filling with fuel until it gets hot enough to start burning it, in which case it is very rich and therefore smoky. Once it runs for a while it burns the excess fuel off and runs fine. If it were any other cause the engine wouold not retain its normal power etc when hot. The lumpy running indicates that it is related to one or two cylinders only.

you have a leak in one of your fuel lines . but its not be a outward leak its sucking air .first look at all of the steel lines. if no problem found go to all the rubber lines you are sure to find the problem

Hi there,
when the noise is heard, try putting very slight pressure on the brake pedal and see if the noise goes away. If this is the case then definitely the brakes have to be removed and checked again. But if the noise is still present then it's something else doing that noise ans further investigations needs to be carried oput.
