Remove the kick trim and lower the glovebox door. Access the wiring connectors thru the glovebox hole with the door down, just unhook. Put the door back up and access the blower motor from under the glovebox, held in by screws.

Hi, i need to remove and replace the blower motor for the a.c./ heater, and dont know where it is located. can you please help?

Blower Motor Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Remove the insulator from under the right side of the dash.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  3. Remove the blower motor retaining screws.
  4. Remove the blower motor.
To Install:
  1. Install the blower motor.
  2. Install the blower motor mounting screws.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
  4. Install the under dash insulator.

Blower Motor
Removal & Installation
To Remove:


  1. Evacuate and recover air conditioning refrigerant.
  2. Remove battery.
  3. Disconnect and cap A/C lines at evaporator tubes.
  4. Remove blower motor assembly drain.
  5. Remove glove box.
  6. Remove 5 screws and right hand instrument panel lower trim panel.
  7. Remove screw that attaches upper center console to gain access to left
    instrument panel lower support.
  8. Remove left and right bolt and remove instrument panel lower support.
  9. Detach control cable from inlet duct.
  10. Disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
  11. Pull carpet back and remove hole cover plate.
  12. Remove 2 bolts at top of blower motor assembly.
  13. Remove 2 nuts that attach bottom of blower motor assembly to mounting studs
    on bulkhead.
  14. Remove blower motor assembly.

To Install:


  1. Install blower motor assembly.
  2. Install 2 bolts at top of blower motor assembly.
  3. Install 2 nuts that attach bottom of blower motor assembly to mounting studs
    on bulkhead.
  4. Install hole cover plate and replace carpet.
  5. Connect blower motor electrical connector.
  6. Install instrument panel lower support and install left and right bolts.
  7. Install right hand instrument panel lower trim panel and 5 screws.
  8. Install glove box.
  9. Install blower motor assembly drain hose.
  10. Connect evaporator lines at bulkhead.
  11. Evacuate and charge air conditioning refrigerant.
  12. Install battery.

Removal
  1. Remove the glove compartment liner to gain access to the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly mounting screws.
  1. Use a small screwdriver to remove clip retaining hydraulic damper strut.
  1. Remove four screws and remove the heater blower motor assembly and blower motor wheel assembly from the heater blower motor housing.
Installation
  1. Using a new seal, position the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly to the heater blower motor housing with the flat side of the flange near the heater blower motor switch resistor (18591). Install the four retaining screws.
  1. Tape the heater blower motor power lead to the air inlet duct to keep the wire away from the blower outlet during installation.
  1. Install the heater blower motor and blower motor wheel assembly in the vehicle.
  1. Install the glove compartment liner.

  1. Remove the right side sound insulator in the passenger compartment.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  3. Disconnect the blower ventilation tube from the module.
  4. Remove the blower motor screws.
  5. Remove the blower motor from the housing.
  6. Install the blower motor into the housing.
To install:
  1. Install the blower motor screws and tighten to 15 inch lbs. (1.5 Nm).
  2. Install the blower ventilation tube to the module.
  3. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  4. Install the right side sound insulator.

To Remove:
  1. Remove the instrument panel sound insulator panel (if equipped).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
  3. Remove the blower motor insulating cover screws.
  4. Remove the blower motor insulating cover.
  5. Pull the retaining tab down and rotate blower motor counterclockwise to remove.
To Install:

  1. Position the blower motor and turn assembly clockwise until tab locks in place.
  2. Install the blower motor insulating cover.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
  4. Install the instrument panel sound insulator panel (if equipped).

Blower Motor Resistor Replacement Removal Procedure
  1. If equipped, remove the IP sound insulator.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connection from the blower motor.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connection from the blower motor resistor.

  1. Install the blower motor resistor.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  3. Install the blower motor resistor retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connection to the blower motor.
  7. If equipped, install the IP sound insulator.
