There should be a fuse block under the hood. Go double-check.

SOURCE: No interior dome lights , vanity, or cigarette lighter

If it's where most silverado's have it, open driver door, on the side of the dash, there is a panel door, behind it are the fuses, there is another fuse block under the hood, a black box.

SOURCE: Fuse to suburban cigarette lighter/power locks keeps blowing.

Unplug cigarette lighter, check circuit, unplug each door individualy at first, Don't forget the back doors, check circuit. Usualy the door wiring is damaged but there may be more then two cigarette lightes depending on the model.

SOURCE: The accessories 12 V plug

I don't have a solution for this problem(yet) but have the exact same issue with a 2005 Silverado. All fuses are good and the cigarette lighter outlet works fine. I am looking to get my hands on a copy of the wiring diagram for this truck. I suspect that there is an inline fuse somewhere in the system that has blown but haven't been able to locate. If anyone has a copy of the service(or Haynes) manual for this truck, I would appreciate a copy of the wiring diagram that shows the accessory outlet.

SOURCE: rear defrost dont work on

it works off heater fuse and has relay which you found and is good .the problem is a breake in the heating elements in the window. they can be fixed w/out replacing window . check each element in window w/ohm meter .put aluminum foil around the pos. lead on meter to check the wire.

2007 Toyota Camry. Dome light, radio, cigarette lighter, horn and clock not working and all fuses are good on both fuse boxes. Any one knows why?

All of those are controlled by or influenced the BCM. You need a good auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool to check the BCM and communication to and from it.

99 malibu inop radio fix

Stock radios have 2 fuses that run them.

Fuse 1 is usually labeled as Radio in the fuse box.

The 2nd fuse shares circuits with other devices that are powered straight off of the battery, so look and see if your dome light works, and your cigarette lighter. If either of those aren't working, check the fuse for that item. Cigarette lighters are usually listed as Cigar in the fuse box, and dome light is usually CTSY or Courtesy.

I plugged a cell phone charger into my cigarette lighter in my 1991 chevy silverado and now my cigarette lighter, stereo, cargo light, and dome light will not work can you help me figure this out?

You blew the CIG,RADIO or ACC fuse in the fuse panel, remove and replace with same rated fuse. There is a grounding issue inside the lighter housing from this

Radio won't turn on. Fuse blocks don't identify a radio fuse?

w/out amplifier; dome, and Cig. hint if you cigarette lighter is working and your dome light is working ,the problem is not fuse is the radio.

With amplifier. Amp, Cig, and Dome; again if cigarette lighter and dome light and amp fuse is good then amplifier is bad, or Radio is bad the only hint in this one is that the amplifier control sound if radio has ilumination then the amplifier could be the cause.

All this fuses are located by the lower left side of the steering column.

Is the cigarette lighter also the plug for cell phone charger?

The cigarette lighter plug should also work for the phone charger as long as the phone charger uses the cigarette lighter style plug(long with two metal contacts on the sides and a button contact on the tip). Most standard car chargers will fit both cigarette and auxillary style plugs.

Looking for the cigarette lighter fuse

Check all fused related to audio, dome light or instrument cluster. Try plugging a cellphone charger into the socket for cig lighter, if this works then you need a new cig lighter.

The cig lighter is probably part of the circuit tied to radio instrument cluster or dome lights, if any of those are out too, then it is likely a bad fuse or bad ground. Look for corresponding fuse and kill 2 birds with one stone hopefully by replacing the faulty fuse.

If you locate and replace a faulty fuse and the problem persists, you may have a bad ground. This is a bit more involved. I would guess by your question that you will need to have someone service it for you.

Radio and cigarette lighter

You can pull the fuses one at a time and look at them. You will know the bad fuse when you see it.
