Turn the key and you'll here "click, click, click." Now jump the battery and it starts. Altough I didn't think it was the battery I replaced it anyway (after 5 years it's a good idea-bought the car in July '07). Car has 34,000 miles. Still the same promblem, however. Just "clicks" but will start with jump and continue to restart WITHOUT a jump for hours but wait longer and it reverts to "clicks." So...it's not the battery, not the starter and if it's some kind of solenoid or fuse why is there this mysterious time delay? THANK YOU in advance!

If you're not hearing a click from the starter check for a starter relay. May be burned out! DO you hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key on? If not something might have triggered your security system and locked you out!
